Theoretical Approach
I have trained in the
Humanistic Person-Centred approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy. Developing
a trusting and therapeutic relationship is central to this approach as is you
feeling heard, understood and less alone with your troubles. I feel it is
paramount that you feel respected and accepted for whom you are and what you
are capable of becoming. I do not judge you, your issues or circumstances nor
tell you what you should or should not be doing. Instead I believe in the
uniqueness and worth of everyone and recognise people have freedom, choices and
responsibilities.
There are a number of
different approaches to Therapy so it is about choosing an approach and a
Therapist that feels comfortable to you and fits with any personal difficulties
you want to work through.
